Why St. Augustine Grass Struggles in Houston Clay Soil

St. Augustine grass is the default lawn in Cypress, and for good reason — it handles Texas heat better than most turf types. But it still struggles here, and the reason almost always comes back to what's under the grass, not the grass itself.
